Blue Bag Recycling Program Ceases June 1, 2024

After June 1st 2024 City of Dunsmuir’s Blue Bag Recycling Program will Cease

Due to changes with Siskiyou Opportunity Center and the County Dump

Residents can bring CRV materials ONLY directly to SOC for recycling. There will be no more curbside pick up of Recyclables through Clemens.

Effective June 1, 2024,

SOC Recycling Center

will not accept NON-CRV materials.
Only materials with

CA CRV labels will be accepted to redeem or donate.

Does this intact black lab/pit mix dog look familiar? Found near the Chevron today 5/22. The red collar and leash do not belong to the dog (borrowed by good citizen who found him). Please reach out to City Hall if you recognize this pooch! 235-4822 ext. 100 . Please help us return to owner.

Garbage Pick Up Missed?

Did your garbage pick-up get missed? Anticpate some pick ups being missed this month of May!

This Thursday (May 9th) the pick-ups may get missed and some may be done on Friday (May 10th)

Memorial Day is Monday, May 27th… garbage pick up missed?

Simply keep your can out and the refuse company will get it the following morning. (Tuesday, 28th of May)

Request for Proposals On-Call Human Resources Consulting Services - due May 5th

The City of Dunsmuir (hereinafter referred to as the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to enter into a Multi-Year Professional Services Agreement to perform professional and technical services to provide human resource consulting services. The intent of this solicitation is to obtain a consultant with the experience and expertise necessary to assist in the planning, organizing, managing, and direction of the City of Dunsmuir’s human resources functions and operations. The Professional Services Agreement is expected to serve for a total of five (5) years with an option of an automatic two-year extension based on work performance and workflow needs.

Request for Proposals - Planning and Consulting Services - Due May 3rd

The City of Dunsmuir is seeking proposals from qualified firms to enter into a Multi-Year Professional Services Agreement to perform professional planning and environmental services on an “on-call” basis. The City is requesting proposals from persons or firms with the expertise necessary to process development applications for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use development projects; application of California Environmental Quality Act; development and management of planning grants; and conformance with federal, state, and local regulations. The selected consultant may also facilitate, lead, or assist planning staff with long-range planning initiatives such as General Plan and Master Plan updates. The Professional Services Agreement is expected to serve for a total of five (5) years with an option of an automatic two-year extension based on work performance and workflow needs.
