REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to select the most-qualified Consultant to provide Building Official Services to the Dunsmuir Building Department. The Building Official will provide services in the capacity of the local building official of the Building Department. This includes being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the building department including the review and issuing of permits, building inspections and providing technical code requirements relating to inspections and documenting of permits and inspections in city parcel files and city software. The City wishes to obtain Building Official Services under a Professional Services Agreement for a term of 3 years with two (2) additional automatic one- year renewals. The City will award no more than one contract on a not-to-exceed basis.

Volunteer Firefighter - Paid per call

Basic Functions:
The primary function of a Volunteer Firefighter is to protect the community from disaster situations, including house and building fires, and promote an environment of public safety within the City of Dunsmuir, Dunsmuir Fire Protection District, Castella Fire Protection District response areas. This position also participates in fire prevention and inspection activities, equipment and quarters maintenance, and training dealing with all phases of fire suppression, prevention, inspection, rescue and emergency operation.
