City of Dunsmuir Public Works Positions

The City of Dunsmuir is Hiring (2) Lead Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Foreman positions. Experience in the construction trades, road maintenance, water distribution, wastewater treatment, heavy equipment operations. Pay Range $31.58 to $37.37 per hour plus benefits, Health, Dental, Vision and CALPERS retirement. Pay and Position will be based on experience and/or certifications. Water Distribution II and/or Wastewater Treatment II or III certifications, Winter Snow removal operations is a plus, with potential for overtime pay. On-Call/Holidays/weekends is required. All positions are subject to the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Dunsmuir. Volunteer Firefighter - Paid per call

Basic Functions:
The primary function of a Volunteer Firefighter is to protect the community from disaster situations, including house and building fires, and promote an environment of public safety within the City of Dunsmuir, Dunsmuir Fire Protection District, Castella Fire Protection District response areas. This position also participates in fire prevention and inspection activities, equipment and quarters maintenance, and training dealing with all phases of fire suppression, prevention, inspection, rescue and emergency operation.
