While the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for areas above 3,000 feet (above town), snow plowing may be required within the next few hours based on current trends.
Residents are reminded that snow plow operations begin when three or more inches of snow accumulates on city streets. If this criteria is reached today then residents will be required to move their vehicles from city streets.
Cars left on city streets may be ticketed or towed if they interfere with snow removal operations.
Residents may park their vehicles in the parking lots on either side of City Hall, the parking spots next to Children’s Park, or the Baseball Field Parking lot.
Downed trees, powerlines, and other issues should be reported to Siskiyou County Dispatch: 530-841-2900. This ensures that every party that needs to know about a problem is promptly notified.
