CDFW has identified a hazardous condition for boaters at the Tauhindauli Public Fishing Access on the Sacramento River within the city of Dunsmuir. A tree is creating a blockage for kayaks, rafts and other watercraft approximately 500 yards below the Dunsmuir Botanical Garden and 400 yards above the Interstate 5 bridge. Boaters are advised to take out at the Dunsmuir Botanical Garden parking lot. The tree will be cleared from the river as soon as crews are available. The red arrow indicates the exact location of the blockage within the river.
