2010 Pierce Saber Chassis. Pierce Contender Body. 1500 GPM Pump, 750 Gallon Booster Tank, 200 CFM Pierce Hercules Compressed Air Foam System. Owned by the Dunsmuir Fire Protection District. First out for structure fires, vehicle fires, and vehicle accidents.

Engine 814

1993 International 4×4 Chassis, Yanke/BME build-up. 500 GPM hydrostatic pump, 500 gallon booster tank. First out for wildland fires. Engine 814 was purchased from the Novato Fire District in May 2011 by the Dunsmuir Fire Protection District.

Truck 820

2013 Smeal 75' HD Aerial

2013 Smeal 75′ HD Aerial. Built on a Spartan Gladiator Chassis with 550HP  Cummins Motor, 2000 GPM Waterous pump, 500 gallon booser tank. T-820 Carries 131′ of ground ladders as well as 1000′ of 5″ LDH supply line..  Truck 820 is first out for all structure fires and motor vehicle accidents. Truck 820 is also dispatched to all structure fires in the City Of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Shasta Fire Protection District as part of automatic mutual aid agreements. Truck 820 is owned by the City Of Dunsmuir and was funded by a 2011 Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant.

Squad 840


Squad 840 was acquired by the City Of Dunsmuir in March 2011 and began responding to medical emergencies in early June 2011.

Utility 852

Utility 852 is a 1996 Ford F-350 4×4. This vehicle originally was purchased by the City Of Dunsmuir Water Department. In 2007 this vehicle was declared surplus by the Water Department. The Fire Department took possession of this vehicle and the members made the needed modifications and repairs to this vehicle. The utility box was refurbished, and emergency lighting and decals were added. U-852 carries a full complement of E.M.S. Gear as well as other specialized equipment. This includes a floto-pump and a wheeled stokes for long distance patient extrication from remote areas accessible only by foot such as the Castle Crags Dome Trail.
